Bro. Roy " Moochie" Johnson Jr.

Bro. Roy "Moochie" Johnson Jr., a beloved father, husband, brother, uncle, and friend passed away at his home in Tullahoma, TN. He was born on October 15, 1956, in Columbia, TN. Roy dedicated his life to various professions, working as a banker at Barclay's and US Airlines, as well as being the proud owner of Johnson Janitorial/Janitaire. He was also known for his handyman skills, always willing to lend a helping hand.


He is preceded in death by his parents Eld. Roy Johnson Sr. and Mother Magnolia Lipscomb Johnson, brother Matthew Frierson, and sister CarseniaJohnson.


He will be remembered for his genuine love and care for others, his unwavering faith, and his active involvement in the NFL( National Faith League) Roy Johnson Jr. will be greatly missed by all of those whose lives he touched. His memory will forever be cherished by his family, friends,and community. A host of neices, nephews, other relatives and friends. May he rest in eternal peace.


Roy leaves to cherish his Loving memories ; his daughter Cherica (Marvin) Williamson of Suwanee, Ga, siblings, Clara Mosley of Columbia, TN, Deloris Johnson of Columbia, TN, Randel (Tania) Johnson of Murfreesboro, TN, Peggy Woods of Murfreesboro, TN, and Herschel (Elnora) Frierson of Louisville, KY a host of beloved nieces and nephews. Roy lived his life guided by the motto, "Everything that you do, do it to the glory of God." He found immense pride in his business ventures, but his most cherished accomplishments were being a loving father and grandfather. His daughter, Cherica Williamson, a former teacher from Suwanee, GA, brought him immense joy. Roy was also blessed with eight grandchildren: Ameena, Marvin Jr., Zakia, Shaun, Saja, Michael, Jules, and Saleem.


 Funeral Service will Thursday May 30, 2024 ar 11:00 am at 8th and Woodland Church 126 East Eighth Street Columbia, Tennessee 38401

         Interment- Pinecrest Memorial Gardens
