TTed McNaught, 83 year old Mooreland resident, passed away Thursday, May 23, 2024 in Seiling. Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, May 30, 2024 in the Billings Funeral Home Chapel, Woodward. Burial will follow in the Mooreland Cemetery.

Teddy Joe McNaught was born on July 3, 1940 in Mooreland, Oklahoma to Cecil Earl and Viola Minta (Jackson) McNaught. He grew up in Mooreland and graduated from Mooreland High School. He attended Northwestern Oklahoma State University. Ted was united in marriage to Connie Deloris Black on June 15, 1959 at the Mooreland Methodist Church. They made their first home in Stroud and were blessed with three children: Jacoby, Damon, and Sheila. They also lived in Steamboat Springs, Colorado and Shattuck before moving back to Mooreland. He worked for Amis Construction in Stroud and Steamboat Springs, Colorado, Carlos Williams Lumber in Shattuck, and Tidwell Construction before going to work for American Natural Resources (ANR) in Mooreland. He retired in 1995 as a Superintendent at ANR.

He enjoyed metal detecting for gold, riding four wheelers and side by sides out and around Arizona and California landscapes. After retirement they enjoyed traveling to Yuma, Arizona and Gold Rock, California. Ted loved spending time with his children and grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Connie McNaught of the home; two sons: Jacoby McNaught, Damon McNaught; one daughter Sheila Greeff; one brother Gene McNaught and wife Barbara; two sisters: Neta Duke and husband Hershel, Gail Chenoweth; four grandchildren: Macey Yates, Ripley Greeff, Candice Greeff, Jerome Michael Molstad; four great-grandchildren: Addison McNaught, Ariana Yates, Aiden Stevens, Scarlett Crow; other relatives and many friends.

Ted was preceded in death by his parents, two granddaughters, Shanell and Sheana Syms, his in-laws, Doc and Pauline Lierman, Clifton Black, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Marvin and Clovetta Kline, Clifton Gean and Alma Black.
