Byron Ellis, 91, of Ft. Madison passed away on October 26, 2017 at Great River Medical Center. He was born on October 10, 1926 near Grand Forks, ND. He married Helen Johnson and she preceded him in death. He then married Carol Gram and they later divorced. Byron served in the US Army during WWII. Byron ran LCYS in Ft. Madison and then was the Executive Director of Methelman Meadows until his retirement. He was a past member of the Mason's and enjoyed reading, art and history. Survivors include four step children, Mary Jo Jones, Hans Johnson, John Gram and Lisa McKinney. He was preceded in death by his parents. Per his wishes, his body has been donated to the University of Iowa Department of Anatomy for Scientific Research and King-Lynk Funeral Home & Crematory is in charge of the arrangements.
