John Andruszkiewicz Obituary

Andruszkiewicz, John, of Peabody, passed away peacefully surrounded by loving family on Monday, May 20, 2024 at 74 years of age.

John shared 45 beautiful years of marriage with his devoted wife, Anna (Golemba) Andruszkiewicz, who stood by his side through every joy and challenge. He was the loving father of Leanne Greisen and her husband Daniel of Maine, and Stephen Andruszkiewicz and his wife Melissa of Hollis, NH. John's family was his pride and joy, and his devotion to them knew no bounds.

Born into a close-knit family, John was the dear brother of Thomas Andruszkiewicz and his wife Dianne. He also cherished his brother-in-law, Reverend Monsignor Roman Golemba of Fall River. John's legacy extended to his grandchildren, whom he adored as their loving papa: Oliver Greisen, Wesley Andruszkiewicz, Jack Greisen, and Ella Andruszkiewicz. He also leaves behind loving nieces, adored cousins, and a wide circle of friends who will miss him dearly.

Friends and loved ones are invited to pay their respects at the Ruggiero Family Memorial Home ~ North Shore Chapel, 10 Chestnut Street, Peabody, on Friday, May 24th from 9:00 to 11:00 AM. A prayer service will follow at 11:00 AM, officiated by Reverend Monsignor Roman Golemba, who shared a special bond with John as his brother-in-law and friend. The service will conclude with John being laid to rest at St. Mary's Cemetery, Salem.

In honor of John's memory, the family kindly requests that memorial donations be made in his name to Dana Farber, 10 Brookline Place, W 6th floor, Brookline MA 02445, or online here in supporting the fight against cancer, a cause close to John's heart.

John was not only devoted to his family but also to his community. He was an active member of the historic society in Peabody and the St. Michael Society. His passion for education led him to serve as a dedicated history teacher in the Peabody School System for over 35 years, impacting the lives of countless students with his wisdom, kindness, and dedication.

John Andruszkiewicz's legacy of love, kindness, and service will continue to inspire all who had the privilege of knowing him. May he rest in peace, surrounded by the eternal love of his family and the gratitude of a community he enriched with his presence.
