Gregory F. Theis Obituary

Gregory “Greg” Theis passed away peacefully with his son by his side on May 18th, 2024, in Shakopee.

Greg was born June 8th, 1964 to Valentine and Kathryn (Wacker) Theis. He was the 6th of 9 children. Growing up Greg loved riding his bicycle everywhere and playing baseball and football with his siblings. He enjoyed watching his dad play baseball as well. Greg loved camping and fishing at the cabin. He spent a lot of time hunting with his Grandpa Al. Greg spent time horse playing in the hay barn and anywhere on the farm. Greg loved his siblings and all of his nieces and nephews. Later Greg had a son of his own, Gregory John.

In Greg’s adult life he was an electrician. He was always quick for a laugh or a good joke. He had one giant sweet tooth and MilkyWays and ice cream didn’t stand a chance. Greg had many friends from childhood through recent years. He called every dog he ever met snoopy. And he had nicknames for those closest to him. Greg would give you the shirt off his back even if he didn’t have one to replace it. He had a big heart and an even bigger smile. Greg had two grandchildren which he absolutely adored, Colton and Rhett. He would talk to everyone about them, they meant the world to him.

Greg leaves behind his son and daughter-in-law Gregg and Felicia Theis. Two grandsons Colton (4) and Rhett (2). One soon to be granddaughter. And eight siblings; Mary (Mike) Theisen, Monica (Tom) Fredrickson, Valentine Jr (Julie) Theis, Steve Theis, Sue Robertson (Mark), Eugene (Chrissy) Theis, Debbie (Gene) Weber, Liz (Pat) Sullivan. And many nieces and nephews.

Greg is joining in heaven his parents Val and Kathy. Infant siblings Mary and Joseph.
