Ronald Smitty, Sr., age 74, of Manchester, TN, passed away on May 19th, 2024 at his home after a hard battle with cancer. He was born on October 17th, 1949, in Manchester, TN, to parents Barney and Mary Smitty who proceed him in death.
Ronnie is also preceded by his daughter, Lisa Couch; and brother Wayne Smitty. He is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Rita Smitty; son, Ronald (Penny) Smitty, Jr.; grandchildren, Megan Elkins, Sydney Couch, Cayden Couch, Emma Smitty, Micah Smitty, and Luke Smitty; and great grandchildren, Bristol Evans, Kalix Evans, and Anthony Evans.
Ronnie was self employed as an arcade game provider and maintenance man for Amusement Co. Outside of his work, he enjoyed watching shows like Jeopardy or sports such as baseball on TV. His hobbies included reading and playing pool. He will be dearly missed.
Visitation will be held at Manchester Funeral Home on Wednesday, May 22, 2024 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM. Funeral Services will be held at Manchester Funeral Home on Thursday, May 23, 2024 at 2:00 PM with Brother John Lee officiating the service. Burial will follow funeral services on Thursday, at Manchester City Cemetery.
