Lyle James JANTZI Obituary

JANTZI, Lyle James

Passed away peacefully with family by his side on Sunday, May 19, 2024, at Grand River Hospital, Kitchener, after a short but courageous battle with esophageal cancer. Lyle was born 61 years ago, in Stratford, Ontario, and was a resident of Poole.

Cherished and loving husband of Connie (Ropp) Jantzi, whom he married July 19, 1986. Proud father of Krista and husband William Wagler, and Nick and wife Kelsey Jantzi. He was a devoted and caring grandfather of Liam, Brody and Alivia Wagler, and Hazel, Baylor and Sawyer Jantzi. Lyle will be dearly missed by his brother Ross (Cindy), sisters Maryann Jantzi and Susan Lebold (Terry), father-in-law and mother-in-law Don and Martha Ropp, brothers-in-law David Ropp (Bonnie), Mike Ropp (Janet) and Steve Ropp (Karina), and by his many nieces, nephews and friends.

Lyle is predeceased by his parents Ivan and Marie (Gerber) Jantzi.

Lyle was a member of Poole Mennonite Church and the North Easthope Tractor Club. He took great passion in tinkering on his many John Deere projects. Lyle was a Milk Truck Driver and was well respected in the trucking and farming communities and was a skilled social man. Lyle was a proud and loving grandfather and cherished his time with grandkids, and children enjoying 4wheeling and tractor rides. He enjoyed time spent at the cabin in Huntsville. Lyle in his short number of years with us, has left a legacy bigger than most.
