Barbara Morris Obituary

Barbara M. Morris, 98, a resident of Commonwealth Senior Living, and previously of Parksley, VA, wife of the late Edward Henry Morris, passed away on May 18, 2024 in Onancock, VA.


Born on July 14, 1925 in Lakewood, NJ, she was the daughter of the late Nicholas Mesz and Rosa Poling Mesz. Barbara was a real estate agent for many years. She lived for many years in Bricktown and later, Howell Township and Farmingdale before moving to Virginia in the late 1970s.


Barbara is survived by a daughter, Vickie Pekarchik (Jack) of Manasquan, NJ; a son, Joseph N. Morris (Cholly) of Columbia, SC; five grandchildren, Timothy Pekarchik (Kristen), Scott Pekarchik (Jessica), David Pekarchik (Katie), Lauren Nageeullah (Ty) and Ashley Turbyfill (Michael) and six great-grandchildren.


A graveside service will be held at the First Baptist Church of Laurelton Cemetery in Brick, NJ on Tuesday, May 28th at 2PM. 


Arrangements are by the Thornton Funeral Home in Parksley, VA.
