Rodney Clare Miller, age 77, of Middleton passed away Saturday, May 18, 2024, at his home with family by his side, after a brief battle with cancer. He was born August 11, 1946, in St. Johns the son of Robert and Florine (Wilson) Miller. He married Judy E. Brauher on November 25, 1965, in Maple Rapids.
Rodney earned his teaching degree from Central Michigan University. He retired from Fulton High School after 39 years. While at Fulton he taught math, physical education and coached baseball and football.
He enjoyed farming, fishing, and bow hunting. He loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.
Rodney is survived by his wife of 58 years, Judy; his children, Rodney (Julie) Miller, Jennifer Miller, Noelle (Paul) Woodbury; six grandchildren, Richie (Jen), Davis, Brendan, Alayna, Aspen, McKinley; two great-grandchildren, Eli, Oliver; step-granddaughters, Raven (Pat), Angela (Taylor), Amanda (Jeremy) and their families, and a sister, Dana Lambert-Bottum.
He was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Wendy Miller; infant granddaughter, Emily; his parents, Robert and Florine; a brother, Bobby Miller; and his in-laws, Romaine and Virginia Brauher.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, May 21, 2024, at 11 am at Lux and Schnepp Funeral Home, Carson City. Interment will follow in Payne Cemetery, Fulton Township. Visitation will be held on Monday, May 20th from 2-4 and 6-8 pm at the funeral home. Those desiring may make memorial contributions to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
