Mr. Roy Gibson Parson, 81, of Lexington passed away peacefully at his home on Saturday, May 18, 2024. Roy was born September 7, 1942 in Lee County, North Carolina to the late Clyde Parson and Lillie Mae Collins Parson. He was a member of Love of God Baptist Church in Thomasville. He served his country in the United States Army during Vietnam. He worked many years in Equipment manufacturing and Fertilizer manufacturing. Roy loved to study the Bible and share his love through teaching Sunday School. He enjoyed fishing at the coast and watching professional wrestling. He will be greatly missed. Along with his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Lyvita Floyd Parson on December 09, 2020; three brothers, Charles Edward Parson, Terry Lee Parson, and Clyde Parson, Jr.

Surviving is his son, Wayne Lloyd of Lexington; one sister, Ruth Leon of Thomasville; three granddaughters, Kadence Lloyd, Amaya Lloyd, and Brooklynn Lloyd, all of Lexington.

A graveside service will be held Thursday, May 23, 2024 at 11:00 AM at Floral Garden Memorial Park Cemetery in High Point with Rev. Dewayne Locklear officiating and full military honors. The family will greet friends on Wednesday evening from 6:00 PM-8:00 PM at J.C. Green and Sons Funeral Home in Thomasville. Online condolences may be sent to the family at www.jcgreenandsons.com.
