Funeral services for Elaine C. (Nee: Sanzo) Marinelli, 84, of Willoughby, will be at 7 PM on Friday May 24, 2024 at Davis-Babcock Funeral Home, 4154 Clark Ave., Willoughby.

The family will receive friends from 4-7 PM on Friday, prior to the service at the funeral home.

Elaine passed away May 18, 2024 in Concord Township. Born September 13, 1939 in Cleveland, and lived in Lake County since 1966.

She was a 1957 graduate of Collinwood High School. Elaine held many jobs throughout her career, including coordinator of the JFK Senior Citizens Center in Eastlake, and retired as an escrow coordinator for Paul Parratto Howard Hanna Real Estate in 2005.

Elaine was an avid reader who loved to cook and was a true Cleveland Browns fan. Her family and friends will miss her homemade pizza and holiday cookie trays. She enjoyed her monthly luncheons with her Collinwood High School friends and neighbors. Elaine was always quick with a story and never shy to share her thoughts. Once she met you, you became part of her family.

Survivors include her sons, Anthony (Lisa) Marinelli and David Marinelli; grandson, Edward (Nao) Hunt; and her sister, Beverly Foote. She also leaves behind many nieces and nephews and their families.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Francis E. Marinelli on April 21, 2021. Her parents, Joseph and Lucille Sanzo; her sister, Adeline Sanzo and her beloved dog, Tramp, are also deceased.

In lieu of flowers, the family encourages contributions to Trinity Church for the Grief Share Program, 9225 Johnnycake Ridge Road, Mentor, OH 44060.
