Bryan L. Polley

 Age 60, of Sumner, went to be with our Lord and Savior, after a long battle with complications from cancer treatment on Thursday, May 16, 2024, at the U of M Hospital in Ann Arbor.

Bryan was born October 29, 1963, in Pana, IL., the son of Logan and Betty (Fleenor) Polley. He married Dawn Hess on October 11, 1980. Bryan was a member of the Sons of the American Legion in Carson City. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, the outdoors and most recently racing at Crystal Motor Speedway. Bryan loved spending time with his family and friends, especially going to Tony’s and he always knew he had a place to stay at Emily’s home.

He is survived by his wife Dawn, children Misty (Steven) Johnson, Staci (DJ) Carter, Erik Polley, Victoria (Nick Carll) Polley, granddaughters Clashang Johnson, Taylynn Johnson, Korra-Sue Carll, brothers Gene (Shirley) Polley, Kenny (Jacqueline) Moreland, George (Sheri) Polley, Bobby Polley, Mike Moreland, Junior (Jody) Moreland, sisters Jennielyn Rogers, Elaine Leigh, June Davis, Barbie (David) Finch, brothers and sisters-in-law Stuart (Christine) Noack, Harold (Karen) Hess, Julie Hess, John Hess and many nieces and nephews.

Bryan was preceded in death by his parents, father and mother-in-law Bill and Viola Hess, children Randy, Jennifer and Jason and brother David Polley.

The family would like to thank the U of M and Rogel Cancer Center staff for the outstanding care they provided to Bryan.

Memorial services will be held Friday, May 24, 2024, at 1 pm at the Lux and Schnepp Funeral Home, Carson City. Interment will follow at New Haven Center Cemetery. Visitation will be held Thursday from 6 to 8 pm and Friday from noon until the time of services all at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Polley Family.
