Ella Louise Warren Obituary

Ella Louise Warren (Null), 90, of Dayton, Ohio, went home to be with the Lord on May 15, 2024. Her beloved husband, Paul R. Warren, preceded her in death. She leaves behind her devoted family: daughter, Dawn L. Fortunato (David) of Dayton, son Mark R. Warren (Cathy) of Michigan, and her precious grandsons, Christopher Warren of Michigan, Matthew Warren of Alabama, and Alex Fortunato of Florida. Ella has one surviving sister, Barbara Null Whittington of Ohio, and special brother-in-law, James “Brownie” Hoffman of Florida, as well as many special nieces, nephews, and cousins.


Ella grew up in Putnam County West Virginia and graduated from Poca High School. During her husband’s Air Force career, they lived in England, Okinawa, and Japan. After his retirement from Wright Patterson Air Force Base, they resided in Dayton Ohio. Ella enjoyed cooking, gardening, and spending time with her family. Preceding Ella were her parents, Ollie Casto Null and Cecil Null, and sister Maxine Durst, of Cleveland, sister Donna Hoffman of Florida, and brother, Ralph Null, of Eleanor WV. Ella was a faithful Christian and member of Assurance Baptist Church of Dayton Ohio. Her family would like to thank the Vitas hospice nurses and all of the wonderful staff of Grace Brethren Village, Englewood Ohio who took outstanding care of her. Visitation with family will be held at Kindred Funeral Home 400 Union Blvd, Englewood Ohio 45322 on Monday, May 20, 2024, from 5-7pm. A celebration of Ella’s life will be held on Tuesday, May 21, 2024, at 1:00 pm at Gatens-Harding Funeral Home 147 W Main St. Poca, West Virginia 25159. Pastor Bryson Thompson officiating. Entombment will be at the Haven of Rest Memorial Gardens in Red House, West Virginia.


In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Assurance Baptist Church, PO Box 243, Englewood Ohio 45322.
