Kelly Dean Harrington Obituary

Kelly D. Harrington, age 74, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, May 13th. Just one day after a beautiful day spent with family celebrating Mother’s Day at his house.

He was born in Milwaukee on September 26, 1949, son of Griffin and Mildred Harrington (Mau). He grew up in Milwaukee and attended Fairview Lutheran Grade School and Wisconsin Lutheran High School. Kelly joined the Army on 8/5/1969 and bravely fought in the Vietnam war.

On May 26, 1979, he married his best friend, Kathy at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Milwaukee. They were just days away from celebrating 45 years together. They enjoyed many adventures from camping, playing cards, fishing, summers at the cabin up north, yearly trips to the Dells that included scavenger hunts and the unforgettable long road trip to Florida in a Winnebago.

Kelly leaves behind a legacy of love as a devoted father to Michael (Ann) and Kim Pearson. He will be remembered as a cherished grandpa and great grandpa to Alex, Kellie (Micah), Kevin, Nick, Tyler and Ethan and his great grandchildren Aiden, Jameson and Baylee. He was a lifelong friend to Keith Williams and will be greatly missed.

Further survived by his sister Marly (Sherman) Williams and brother Bill (Elaine) and other relatives and friends.

Kelly lived a full life as a God-fearing man. We will miss Kelly very much but know he is no longer in pain and is reunited with his parents and parents-in-law.

Friends and family are invited to honor and remember Kelly at the funeral services, on Tuesday, May 21st, 2024, which will be held at CHRIST LUTHERAN CHURCH, W240N3103 Pewaukee Rd, Pewaukee, WI 53072. Visitation will be from 9-11AM. Service begins at 11AM with lunch to follow at the church. Let us gather to celebrate a life well-lived and to find comfort in cherished memories.
