Mary Eleen (Daniels) Mahan was born in Pearl, Illinois on December 25, 1948 to Virgil and Lucy (Garrison) Daniels. She passed away on May 15, 2024 in Stigler, Oklahoma at the age of 75.


She is survived by:


Her husband, Bobby, of the home


Her children:

Bobbie Ann Wheat and husband, Ashley, of Stigler, OK

Charles Wayne Mahan and wife, Melinda, of Stigler, OK

Cherié Valdez and husband, Cokie, of Tucson, AZ


Her grandchildren:

Aubrie Ayers Lambert and husband, James; Zechariah Ayers; Lakeisha Miller and husband, Zac Miller, and Joshua Mahan


Her great grandchildren:

Chloe Miller, Zoe Miller, Beau Miller, Mila Mahan, and Paisley Lambert


Her brother:

Walter Daniels and wife, Jane, of Pearl, IL


Her sister-in-law:

Ellen Price and husband, Donald, of Tucson, AZ


Her brother-in-law:

Billy Mahan and wife, Margaret, of Pensacola, FL


Numerous nieces and nephews and great nieces and great nephews


Mary was preceded in death by her parents, Virgil and Lucy Daniels; two brothers, William Daniels and Archie Daniels; four sisters, Carolyn McDade, Dorothy Selph, Elsie McGlasson, and Rosella Watts; her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Bob Mahan, Sr. and Freda Mahan; and her brother-in-law, Jim Mahan.


Bob and Mary met in 1965 in Pearl, Illinois. Bob was drafted into the Army in 1966. Mary faithfully wrote him letters each day he was gone. When Bob came home in 1968, they were married on June 11, 1968 at Granite City, Illinois.


Mary was a Union Worker at McDonnell Douglas Airplane Factory. Mary followed her husband who worked powerline construction for Irby Construction. In August of 1969, Mary welcomed her daughter, Bobbie Ann into the world. They moved their family to Stigler in 1969, where Bob went to work for Hall Construction. Mary welcomed her son, Charles Wayne (Chuck) into the world on December 8, 1972.


Mary worked at First National Bank for over 35 years. She loved spending time with the love of her life, Bob, traveling and sightseeing. She enjoyed spoiling her grandchildren and great grandchildren.


Viewing will be held at Mallory-Martin Funeral Home in Stigler from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm on Friday, May 17 and from 9:00 am to 12:30 pm on Saturday, May 18. Family Visitation will be held on Friday, May 17 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm


Funeral Services will be held at Mallory Chapel in Stigler at 1:00 pm on Saturday, May 18, 2024. Interment will follow at Garland Cemetery under the direction of Mallory-Martin Funeral Home and Crematory of Stigler.
