Dan Phillips, 75, of Rupert, ID, passed away on the 10th of April 2021 at Minidoka Memorial Hospital.  Dan joined the Navy at 17-years old during the Vietnam War and served in the Philippines and throughout the Pacific.  He met his soulmate Norma in 1991 and married his sweetheart in 1994.  Dan was a professional welder and worked for Butte Irrigation until he retired in 2007.  He lived most of his life in Rupert where he spent time fishing, and especially  working in his shop welding and visiting with family and friends.  He loved tending his garden, and watching birds, squirrels, and other critters in the yard.

He is survived by his loving family: wife Norma, and his two daughters Stacie Rettew and Kimberley Parzuchowski and stepdaughter Linda Gaydusec and grandchildren Brandon, Briana, Morgan, Cheyanne, Izabel, Tristan and Tomas and Great Grandchild Skyson, and brothers David, Joe, and Ed and sisters Sharon and Louise and sister-in-law Frances and a whole host of nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents Evalyn and Eugene Phillips and by his beloved brother Lester Phillips.

Special thanks to the Minidoka Memorial Hospital, Dr. Owens and his staff for their wonderful care and to Tonya, Jackie and Marissa.  In lieu of flowers, the family welcomes donations to the Mini-Cassia Veterans.
