Carolyn Elaine Hite Conway Obituary

  Carolyn Elaine Hite (Conway) of West Columbia South Carolina entered peacefully into the presence of her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on May 14, 2024, at 11:15 AM. She was surrounded by family and friends at Lexington Medical Center. She was preceded in death by her mother Eunice H. Hite, her father Voigt Everett Hite, and sister Sandra Hite, and her son David Hall.

 

 A celebration of life service is scheduled for Sunday, May 19, 2024, at Moseley Funeral Home located at 914 Meeting Street West Columbia SC,  29169. The family will receive guests beginning at  2:00 PM with the celebration of life service immediately following visitation at 3:00 PM. Internment will be privately held at a later date.

 

Carolyn is survived by and was a devoted sister to her brothers Charles and Vernon Hite, mother to her four children Scott Hall, Todd Hall, Candace Medlin, and Adam Medlin, grandchildren Emily Wingard, Eric Hall, Gage Fusell, Carson Medlin, Mia Medlin, Taylor, Savannah, and, Jordan Webb and great-grandson to Talon Wingard. Along with several nieces and nephews.

 

 Carolyn graduated from Kenneth Shullers Barber College and began her career as one of the first women barbers in a shop on South Main Street located at the time in Columbia South Carolina in November of 1971. She continued her career and built a reputation that still precedes her even now. She also pioneered the way to hair replacement and was widely sought after by many for her service until her health declined causing her to retire after working in the industry for nearly 50 years. 

 

 Carolyn had a gentle and pure servant's heart and always put other's needs before her own. She was a born-again believer and baptized into the family of God
