Firebug Obituary

Nicholas Norman "Firebug" Clark II. 42, passed away on May 14, 2024 at his home surrounded by family. Born on July 15, 1981, in Fort Lewis, WA, Nicholas was a beloved spouse to Jessica Clark of Corbin, KY, a loving father to Dustin Clark, Jason Clark , Nicholas Clark III, Destiny Clark , and Dakota Clark all of Corbin, KY., a devoted son to Phyllis Kilgore of Corbin, KY, and a dear sibling to Charles Clark of Corbin, KY. and Coral Day (Robert) of Odessa, TX.


Throughout his life, Nicholas served his country with pride as a disabled veteran, having bravely served in the Army during the Gulf War. He was a valued member of the Oak Grove Volunteer Fire Department, Woodbine Volunteer Fire Department, and Bald Rock Volunteer Fire Department, embodying the spirit of selflessness and community involvement. He found camaraderie and brotherhood as a member of the Wingman Motorcycle Club and as a lifetime member of the American Legion Post 88.


Nicholas, a dedicated sports fan of local teams, always found joy in the company of family, friends, fellow veterans, and the open road on his motorcycle. His presence will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.


A Funeral Service to honor and celebrate Nicholas's life will be held at Croley Funeral Home on May 18, 2024, at 2:00 pm. Prior to the service, a Public Viewing will take place at 12:00. American Legion Post 88 of Corbin KY will be conducting Military Honors at the Croley Funeral Home following funeral service.


Nicholas Norman Clark leaves behind a legacy of selflessness, bravery, and camaraderie that will continue to inspire those who knew him. May his memory be a source of comfort and strength to all who mourn his passing.


Nicholas was preceded in death by: his father Nicholas Clark, Step Father David Moore and Grandparents George Kilgore, Louise Kilgore.
