Jenny L. Staggs, age 69, of Germantown, Ohio, passed away Wednesday May 15, 2024, at home surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Middletown, Ohio, on August 13, 1954, daughter of the late Phyllis “Joan” (Focht) and Dale N. Lightcap. She was a member of Emmanuel’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in Germantown. Jenny was an avid nature enthusiast, serving as a volunteer at the Germantown Metro Park Reserve for more than 10 years. She and her husband Butch enjoyed Birdwatching, and traveling to Crane Creek Ohio, on the shore of Lake Erie for more than 35 years to watch the migration of the warblers. Additionally, she was a member of the Trefoil Group scouting wildflowers and other natural Ohio flora. She also enjoyed attending her grandchildren’s events. Jenny is survived by her husband of 52 years, Stanley “Butch” Staggs, Jr.; 3 daughters, Lynna (Nathan) Sampsell, and twins ~ Lyra and Leah Staggs; 8 grandchildren: Ava, twins ~ Liam & Aidan Sampsell, twins ~ Ashley & Aleasha Kirk, Angelina & Alesandra Wallace, Bryanna (Zach) Cottingim; 8 great-grandchildren: Kaiser, Alivia, Brynlee ~ plus one on the way, Paisley, Bryson, Aubrey, Everley, and Freya; her brother, John (Michaelle) Lightcap; her sister, Joy (Tom) Macaulay; numerous nieces and nephews. A Visitation will be held 5 - 7 p.m., Friday May 24, 2024, at the Dalton Funeral Home, 6900 Weaver Road, Germantown, Ohio, where the Funeral Service will be held 2 p.m., Saturday May 25, 2024, with Pastor Bonny Kinnunen officiating.
