Linda Nolan Steen Obituary

Linda Nolan Steen, loving mother, grandmother, sister, and friend of Bennettsville, SC departed this life at the age of 64 on May 16, 2024.

She was born October 30, 1959 in Marlboro County, South Carolina, daughter of the late Marshall Evans Nolan and the late Leddie Bell Skipper Nolan. Linda’s love of flowers led to a fulfilling career in silk flower manufacturing and working within the florist industry. She was a member of the True Gospel Emmanuel Holiness Church where she served as a Sunday School Teacher and she also enjoyed attending the Bennettsville Emmanuel Holiness Church.  Linda will be greatly missed and fondly remembered for her love and devotion to her family.

Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by siblings, Tony Nolan, Teresa Nolan, Rita Crowley, and Mary Woods.

Left to cherish her memory is son, Gary Mitchell Steen, Jr., (Tonya) of Bennettsville, SC; daughter, Mary Elizabeth “Beth” Steen (Lonnie) of Bennettsville, SC; brother, Eugene Nolan of Bennettsville, SC; sister, Annette Townsend of Conway, SC; grandchildren, Gabriel Austin Hicks, Jacob Hunter Hicks, and Christopher Luke Hicks; father of her children, Gary M. Steen, Sr.; along with a host of nieces, nephews, family, and friends.

Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Monday, May 20, 2024 at Richard Boles Funeral Service Chapel.

Graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 21, 2024 at True Gospel Emmanuel Holiness Church Cemetery, Wallace, SC.
