John D. Anderson Obituary

John D. Anderson (90) of Saint Germain, WI sadly left us to meet his heavenly Father in the early morning of Saturday, May 11th, 2024 following his passing while he slept. He is the son of John and Esther Anderson of Ironwood, MI. Preceding his death are his said parents; RoJene, daughter; Dave, brother-in-law; Russ, brother-in-law.

John is survived by Nancy, his devoted wife of 60 years; Brad & Tara, son and daughter-in-law; Taylor & Emma, granddaughters; Forest, grandson; Kimberly & Skyler, granddaughter and great grandson; Jonathan & Arya, grandson and great granddaughter; Ruth & Jeanne, sisters.

After retiring to the Northwoods from Two Rivers, WI in 1999, John spent his time fishing, bowling (best score of 299), visiting family, doing carpentry, and attending Our Savior Lutheran Church. When the time came, his wishes were to pass in peace in his own home which his family worked diligently to meet those wishes. The family would like to fervently thank the Compassus Hospice team that gave exceptional care to John during these past 3 months.

Visitation will be held at 10:00 am on Friday, May 17th at Our Savior Lutheran Church in Eagle River, WI followed by the funeral at 11:00 am and a luncheon by the Martha Society at 11:45 am. John will be laid to rest in the Eagle River Cemetery at 1:15 pm on May 17th with military honors from his service to our country in the US Air Force.
