Age 93, of St. Paul, Tom was born February 20, 1931, in St. Paul, Minnesota and died peacefully surrounded by his family May 13, 2024. Married May 4, 1957, to his devoted and loving wife, Carol Ann Fox (nee Labine) at the Cathedral of Saint Paul; resided in St. Paul, Minnesota. Preceded in death by his parents, Matthew and Lucia (Richter) Fox. Survived by two siblings, Marge (Bob) Schmuck, and Sue Shore; children, Tamara (Todd) Johnson, Timothy (Lynn) Fox, Terri Fox-Fitzgerald, Traci (Kevin) Corkins, and Thomas Fox; grandchildren, Matthew (Beth) Johnson, Jenelle (Zebulon) Golder, Allison (Tom) Bruckner, Nathan (Ashley) Johnson, and Jason (Allison) Johnson; Christina, Timothy, and Phillip (Ricci) Fox; Marcus (Mandy), Molly, Mitchell (Jenna) Fitzgerald; Candice (Greg) Roback, Kevin (Melissa) Corkins, and Kelley (Jordan) Grahek; Danielle and Tessa Fox, Tiana (Tanner) Bedard, and Joey Jaworski; and 39 great-grand-children, and one great-great granddaughter. At the age of 17, Tom enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corps. He valued this service highly and attained the rank of staff sergeant, decorated during the Korean War with a Purple Heart and Bronze Star with Valor as a 1st Marine Division Chosin Reservoir survivor. A member of the Church of Saint Casimir and then Church of the Assumption in St. Paul. Tom’s strength, commitment and hard work never failed his family, friends, and coworkers. Service 10 a.m. (visitation 9 a.m.) May 24, 2024, at Church of the Assumption, 51 West 7th Street, St. Paul, Minnesota. Private family interment at Fort Snelling National Cemetery at a later date.
