Roseann Peabody Obituary

On Sunday May 12th at 8:01am heaven gained an angel. Roseann Peabody gracefully passed through heaven’s gates greeted by her predeceased husband of 46 years Raymond L. Peabody. Roseann born Ella Roseanna Hutchings to George and Anne (Hodknot) Hutchings on January 14, 1933, in Birchy Head, Newfoundland, Canada. After her mother died in 1938, Roseann was adopted by US Air Force Master Sargent Nicholas Evangelisti and was brought to the United States. Where she traveled the United States.

Roseann lived in Ogden, Utah and graduated from Ogden High School. Where she was often participated in dirt road racing. Eventually, her Air Force family travels brought her to Hawaii where she met the love of her life Sargent Raymond Peabody. They were married in Stephenville, Newfoundland October 15, 1955.

Roseann worked 38 years in the Department of the Air Force; at Westover Air Base, Chicopee, MA. She worked at the base exchange, in the office at the Officer’s Club and in Civilian Personnel. Retiring in 1995.

Roseann leaves behind her two sons: Raymond J. Peabody, his wife Shirleen and Richard S. Peabody, his wife Deborah. Also, she leaves behind her cherished grandchildren Jason, Alexander and Samantha Peabody.

Special thank you to the staff at Blue Bird Estates, who were there to help her when she fell ill.

There will be a private service and internment at the Western Mass Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Agawam, MA.
