Kenneth Michael McGee Obituary

Kenneth Michael McGee, 75, of Myrtle Beach, SC and formerly Swanzey, NH, passed away on
Thursday, April 25, 2024 with his loving family by his side. He was born in Augusta, ME on
March 5, 1949 to the late Marie and George McGee.
Ken graduated from Bryant University and was a lifelong student having earned multiple
bachelor’s degrees and a master’s degree with a successful career in finance. Ken also served in
the Army National Guard.
Ken is survived by his wife of 18 years, Deb (Bullard) McGee; his son Kenneth McGee II, wife,
Jennifer and grandchildren Addison and Christopher; his son Jason McGee, wife Staci, and
grandson Jay.
Ken was a car and aviation enthusiast and grew up racing and working on his favorite muscle
cars. Ken also loved spending time at air shows and aviation events, somehow making it into
areas and events civilians were not allowed to be in. He was an active member of the EAA Club
and Collings Foundation
One of Ken’s favorite hobbies was participating in car shows with his beloved wife, Deb. As
Ken’s Muscular Dystrophy continued to progress, his role changed but he continued to oversee
his Mustang ‘pit crew’, Deb as anything less than first place was not going to work.
Ken’s greatest passion, however, was being a father and grandfather, and ensuring everyone
was aware his roles were shenanigans and laughter; parenting was not his problem any longer.
He cherished his time with his family and was always the one laughing uncontrollably and
ending with his signature ‘smirk’.
A celebration of life will be held this Summer and McMillan-Small Funeral Home and Crematory
is entrusted with Mr. McGee’s care. To offer condolences to the family, please visit
