Pauline Louise Engel Obituary

Pauline Louise Engel, 74, of Saint Marys, Ohio, died 2:20 P.M. Tuesday, May 14, 2024, at Lima Memorial Hospital.

She was born June 29, 1949, in Lima, the daughter of Paul and Marilyn (Point) Armstrong.
On November 11, 1972, she married Ned Engel at the United Church of Christ in New Bremen and he survives at their residence in Saint Marys.

She is also survived by her two sons: Brian (Kathy) Engel of Saint Marys; Jason (Mandi) Engel of Saint Marys; by her brother, David Armstrong of Florida; her sister-in-law, Shirley Ruwoldt of Wapakoneta; by her niece, Lori Ruwoldt of Wapakoneta; by her brother-in-law, Dale (Dianne) Engel of Saint Marys. She is also survived by her cousins: Jim (Mary) Armstrong of Cridersville; Grover (Wanda) Armstrong of Wapakoneta.

She is survived by her seven grandchildren: Dylan Engel; Gavin Engel; Carson Engel; Bronson Engel; Stormi Engel; Courtney Engel; Tanner Engel. She is also survived by her two great-grandchildren: Foster Zeph and Anakin Breen.

 

Pauline was a 1967 graduate of Delphos Jefferson High School. She was a stay-at-home mother and grandmother, and all her grandchildren were very special to her. She was an avid reader, especially any book by Stephen King. 

She was a life member of VFW Post 9289 and auxiliary member of Eagles Lodge 767. She loved cats and had several of them. 

Pauline’s family would like to offer their thanks to Grand Lake Hospice Palliative Care; the second floor physicians and staff at JTDMH; Lima Memorial Hospital physicians and staff; Bridge Hospice Staff and a special thanks to Dr. Terry Roode.
