Stephen Paul Alvesteffer August 18, 1952 - May 12,2024


Stephen (Steve) Paul Alvesteffer passed away on Sunday evening, May 12, 2024, after a long battle with cancer. He leaves behind to grieve their loss:


His wife, Lorianne Noe Alvesteffer

His children and grandchildren, Elizabeth and Andrew Measell of Allendale, Victoria and Genevieve Pamela and Kyle Schuitema of Holland, Aiden, Katrina and Michael Olson of Westfield, IN, Henry and Amelia, Heather King, Riley and Payton


His siblings Candy and Larry Pider of Whitehall Tom and Kathy Alvesteffer of Whitehall Becky and Mike Stout of Lakewood Club Annette and Len Hilton of Pentwater Kris Moseler of Hudsonville Jim Alvesteffer, Lora and Craig Derks of Spring Lake

Many nieces, nephews, Aunts and cousins.


He was preceded in death by his parents, Gilbert and Clara Alvesteffer of Whitehall, and his brother-in-law Sidney Moseler.


Steve retired from a long career with Verizon, after which he started his "second" career as a Safety Manager for high voltage power crew projects in various parts of the country. He also spent decades of service as a Paramedic in Muskegon County and with ProMed.


Steve requested that we acknowledge our neighbor John Nook. Steve was grateful for their deep friendship and for John's willingness to help in countless ways.


A private burial will be held with immediate family at a later date.


A Memorial Celebration of Life will be held on June 9, 2024 at Macatawa Golf Club from 3-5 PM. **Immediate family, siblings, and Aunts meet at 2 PM for service with Hospice Chaplain if desired**

The family wishes to extend heartfelt gratitude to Hospice of Trinity Living at Home. Their kindness, care, expertise, and support was invaluable. We strongly encourage donations to this very worthy cause in Steve's memory.
