Beverly Kaye Durham Obituary

Beverly Kaye Durham was born to the parents of Jessie and Opal Senter on June 28, 1948, in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

Beverly did not enter this world alone. She was the first-born twin sharing her introduction to this world with her

beautiful sister Bonnie Faye.

Beverly accepted the Lord at St. Andrew Baptist Church, under the direction of the late Pastor Bertrand Bailey Sr.

She later joined in ministry at Pentecostal Way before moving to her final church home at Friendship Church,

Pastor Jamaal Dyer. She loved being a part of this church family!

Beverly was very close with her three brothers and two sisters growing up together in this thing called “life”. She

went to elementary, junior high, and high school, completing her education as a proud graduate of the Booker T.

Washington Class of 1966. After graduation she blessed the family with their first-born grandchild Alesia Senter

(a.k.a Lisi) who was the joy of everyone’s life. Beverly later met and married Eddie Lee Durham Sr. and to this

marriage a wonderful son, Eddie Lee Jr. was born. She later went to business school to pursue a career in accounting.

Beverly graduated and went on to work for Siggi Grimm Motors, then later continued her career at the City of Tulsa

where she eventually retired. After retirement Beverly decided to show her love and compassion for people by becoming a caregiver and eventually working for Tulsa International Airport. All her life Beverly demonstrated a strong work ethic and enjoyed caring for and meeting others.

Beverly had a passion for shopping, fashion, and creative writing. She could orchestrate a poem full of love that came effortlessly from her heart. When she wasn’t working, she enjoyed being a Gammie to her beautiful grandchildren and

great grandchildren. Beverly also cherished spending quality time with her twin sister. Those two were truly inseparable!!
