Richard A. Elliott, 84, of Cannon Street, Cranston, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, May 13, 2024, at Rhode Island Hospital. He was the beloved husband of over 20 years to Deborah M. (Rice) Elliott.


Born in Brockton, MA, he was a son of the late Ernest A. Jr. and Mildred Grace (Matthews) Elliott.


Richard worked in sales for Macy’s Department store for many years before retiring. He enjoyed watching the Boston Red Sox and New England Patriots, but most of all, he loved spending time with his wife Deborah.


Besides his wife, he leaves a son, Richard A. Elliott, Jr.; a stepdaughter, Julie Mullen of Warwick and five step-grandchildren, Jake, Grace and Luke Mullen, Keely Nutter and Jordan Hunter. He was the stepfather of the late David Hunter.


Visitation will be held on Monday, May 20, 2024, from 10:00 p.m. to 12:00 p.m. in the Carpenter-Jenks Funeral Home, 659 East Greenwich Avenue, West Warwick, RI, followed by a graveside committal service at Quidnessett Cemetery, North Kingstown.
