Dorothy Viducich Redman Obituary

Dorothy Viducich Redman, 86, passed away peacefully on May 2, 2024 with family by her side.

Dorothy was born on October 31, 1937 in Hoboken, New Jersey to Philip and Rose Viducich. Dorothy and her family spent a lot of time at the neighborhood church and spoke fondly of the many weekend train trips she would take from the Lackawanna Train Station with her brother, Tony and her parents. Dorothy was a proud graduate of San Pedro High School and USC. She was truly a lifelong Trojan, always saying “Fight On” and rooting for any USC sports team. Dorothy spent many years as a school teacher and retired in 1990. Dorothy married Donald Earl Redman in 1984 and felt blessed to help raise his two sons, Mark and Eric. Dorothy enjoyed spending her retirement with her sons, her grandchildren Noah, Bryce, Samantha, Connor and Matthew as well as her niece, Denice Baric and her twin grand nephew and niece, Kyle and Katija Baric. She was a devout Catholic and found great fulfillment in attending Holy Trinity Church, where she volunteered. She loved playing games with family, spending time with the San Pedro Red Hats and her weekly card games with “the girls.” Dorothy is survived by her sons Mark and Eric Redman, her niece Denice Baric; her grandchildren; her grand niece and nephew and friends. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, May 21 at 10:00am at Holy Trinity Church. Burial at Green Hills to follow. Lunch reception will be at Rafaello’s.
