Sherrie Green-Wells Obituary

Sherrie Green Wells was born October 23rd, 1953, to Myrn Green and Alfred Smalls in Sydenham Hospital, Harlem New York.

Sherrie attended the New York City School System.

Sherrie worked for BCL2 Daycare for 10 years and Gouverneur Court for three years.

Sherrie loved children, and she often babysat her younger siblings and raised some of her grandchildren. Whenever someone needed advice about their children, newborns especially, they called “Aunt Sherrie.” She was immaculate and one of the best mothers ever. When our children were growing up, we had our best costume parties at Sherrie’s house. Sherrie enjoyed playing cards, the slot machines, collecting dolls and figurines.

She received notice on Wednesday May 15th, 2024, that it was her turn to enter the Kingdom where Ma, Cakie and all her Ancestors will welcome her with a Heavenly Family Reunion.

Sherrie leaves to celebrate her life her children, Lisa, Teasha, David, Corey and Malachi. Son-in-law, Anthony.

Grandchildren; Destiny, Imani, Daja, Brianna, Dream, Chance and Corey Jr. Great granddaughter, Paige.

Siblings; Delores, Vicki, Special, Sheree, Rhonda, Danielle, Cindy, Chandelyn, Samuel Jr., Hubert, and Larry. Brother-in-law, Albert.

A host of family and friends.

“Sleep on Mommy take your much needed rest, we love you, but God knows what’s best.”

Sherrie went from Labor to Reward.
