Edward Theodor Chalupa, 96, Passed away peacefully surrounded by family, on May 5th, 2024 in Reno Nevada. Edward was born and raised in Chicago, Illinois to Frank and Hermine Chalupa on March 6th, 1928.


Edward ran the family business “People’s Lumber Company” with his brother Bob in Chicago Illinois for decades, where he lived until moving to Reno Nevada with his wife Martha in 1996.


Edward was preceded in death by the love of his life Martha Chalupa in 2015. They were wed for 67 years.


Edward is survived by his children Edward Chalupa (Sophia) and Judy Crosse (Bob). Grandchildren Edward Chalupa (Kate), Melanie Chalupa, Evan Crosse, and Madalyn Crosse. Great Grandson Edward James Chalupa (Ed & Kate Chalupa). Sister Barbara Mayhugh.


Edward was very loved by his family and will be remembered for his big personality and wonderfully dry sense of humor.


Services are to be held Saturday November 30th, 2024 in Hungerford, Texas at John the Baptist Church.
