Deborah Kay Konecny Obituary

Deborah Kay Konecny, 66, of Thomas Twp., our kind and loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Wednesday, May 15, 2024. Deborah was born on June 12, 1957, in Saginaw, the daughter of the late William and Irene (VanEvery) Chapman. Deborah's unwavering devotion to her family and faith defined her life.

Deborah graduated from Swan Valley High School. Her life changed course when she met Francis S. Konecny Jr. In September 1974, their love blossomed, culminating in a beautiful union on April 26, 1975, which lasted for 49 joyous years.

Her true delight lay in her grandchildren, whom she treasured dearly, attending their sporting events and dance recitals, reveling in their accomplishments.

A woman of unwavering faith, Deborah was a dedicated member of Grace Lutheran Church and later played a pivotal role alongside her husband in the establishment of Gloria Dei Lutheran Church. Her compassionate spirit and commitment to her community shall forever be remembered.
