Edward Eugene Warntz Obituary

Edward Eugene Warntz, 68, of Waterford passed away on May 10, 2024, leaving behind a legacy of love and laughter. Born in Royal Oak, Michigan on December 2, 1955, Edward was the beloved son of the late James Edward Warntz and the late Eva Jane Warntz (nee Swift).

Edward was a cherished brother to Jayne (Matthew) Landry and was preceded in death by his brother, James Warntz. He was a proud uncle to Angela Warntz, Nicole Landry, Matthew (Cheryl) Landry, Brandy (Mariano) Wilson, and Adam Landry. Edward was also a beloved great uncle to Bailey Rose Wilson, Benjamin Wilson, Madison McAlpine, Mallory McAlpine, and Brooklynn Mae Landry. He shared a special bond with and loved his lifelong best friend, Gary Chiesa.

After graduating from High School in 1974, Edward dedicated 30 years of his life to General Motors as a lineman in the Orion plant before retiring. In his leisure time, he found joy in playing field hockey with his friends and brother, indulging in sports games of all kinds, and listening to classic tunes by artists like the Doors and Pink Floyd.

Edward will be remembered for his generous spirit, always willing to give the shirt off his back to those in need. His infectious laughter and warm smile brightened the lives of all who knew him. His sister Jayne holds him close in her heart and will forever miss him dearly.

May he rest in peace.
