John Watychowicz Obituary

John Watychowicz, 77, of Inverness, Illinois. At rest May 12, 2024. Devoted husband of Rose (Szczech) for over 57 years. Loving father of Frank (Cindy) and Mark (Christy). Beloved son of the late Franciszek and Stefania, cherished grandfather of Vincent, Joseph, Isabella, Emma, Angelina, and Julia. Dear brother of Stanley, Aniela, Maria, Zofia and Joseph.. Fond uncle of many. Born in Dzial, Poland, he immigrated to the United States over fifty years ago. He was a courageous dreamer who taught us that any dream, no matter how far-fetched, can be achieved with hard work and dedication. His proudest achievements were his family and the home he built - but his most valued treasure was when he received Rose's hand in marriage in 1967.

Visitation will be Friday, May 24, from 4:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at Colonial-Wojciechowski Funeral Homes, 8025 W. Golf Road  in Niles. The Funeral Service will be on Saturday at 11 a.m. at St. Zachary Parish in Des Plaines. John will be laid to rest at All Saints Catholic Cemetery in Des Plaines.
