Pat attended St. Sylvester’s Elementary School, St. Agnes High School and St. Joseph’s College where she obtained her undergraduate teaching degree and a master’s degree in Reading from Kean College.

Pat taught for many years at Immaculate Conception Elementary School in Montclair. One of her most enjoyable pastimes was spending time with her many grandchildren. She also enjoyed her volunteer work at the Mother Teresa Soup Kitchen in Newark and as a Eucharistic Minister for Immaculate Conception Church with her husband Jim, Lucy and Yetta. Taking care of others was one of her core values which included caring for foster babies awaiting adoption. She loved painting, attending adult painting classes, teaching reading skills to underprivileged adults, and playing bridge with her many friends.

She called LBI her “Heaven on Earth”, it was her happy place where she spent time with family every summer.

Pat was also welcomed home by her in-laws Jean Davenport, Joseph and Margie Lynch, lifelong friends Lorraine, Marilyn and Msgr. John Martin. She had many friends but she sadly missed Pat Hanifin, Pat Ryall and Mary Dolan. Time for Bridge and Scrabble!
