Leonard “Lee” Wells, of Stockton, Kansas passed away on May 13, 2024, at the Solomon Valley Manor in Stockton, Kansas, at the age of 76. He was born on March 17, 1948, to Harry and Rosabell (Bures) Leonard in Odell, Nebraska.


Lee grew up in Odell, Nebraska and graduated from Odell High School in 1967.


He moved from Nebraska in the early 1980’s. He was the owner and operator of Lee Wells Tree Service in Hays, Kansas and L&L Liquor in Damar, Kansas. He enjoyed history, classic country music, Nebraska Football and just loved being an (enjoyable) pain to those that knew him.


Lee is survived by his sons, James Wells of Dewitt of Nebraska, Robert (Kerrie) Wells of Beatrice, Nebraska; sister, Ileen (Dallas) Parde of Lincoln, Nebraska; sister-in-law, Diane Wells of Odell, Nebraska; and grandson, Zander Wells of Beatrice, Nebraska.


He was preceded in death by his parents, Harry Leonard and Rosabell Wells; and brother, Pat Wells.


There will be no service. His ashes will be scattered in Gage County, Nebraska.
