Ronald “Ron” D. Boyer, age 53, of Gibsonburg, OH passed away at home on Wednesday, May 15, 2024. He was born on January 6, 1971 in Fremont, OH to Robert E. and Beverly (Weed) Boyer. On September 25, 1993 he married Lauretta Carlson in Elmore, OH. Ron and Laurie have celebrated nearly 31 years of marriage together.


Ron worked in various positions throughout the years which included; Director of Dinning with various nursing homes, Chef at Belmont Country Club and other restaurants, and currently worked in maintenance at Green Bay Packing in Fremont. He was an animal lover, and would often pet sit for relatives. Ron enjoyed collecting teddy bears and in his younger years was active with the Royal Rangers through the Assembly of God Church. Even though Ron had many of joys in life, it was his family that brought him the most joy.


In addition to his wife Laurie, Ron is survived by his sister; Rhonda Meyer of Fostoria, and brother; Rob (Lisa) Boyer of Pemberville. Nieces: Rachel (Gary) Messer, Caitlin (Nick) Benakos and Allison (James Roy) Weaver. Nephews: Zac (Abby) Boyer, Alex (Samantha Kirkendall) Boyer and Nash Boyer. Canadian nieces Carrie, Jenn, and Sarina. Great-nieces and nephews: Clint, Wade, Everly, Abby, Blaire, Colton, Kaylee, Peyton, and Harrison. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother; Russell Boyer and brother-in-law; Jim Meyer.


Family and friends will be received 5-7 p.m., on Friday, May 24, 2024 at the Marsh & Marsteller Funeral Home, 201 W. Main Street, Woodville, OH. A funeral service will be at the funeral home 11 a.m., Saturday, May 25, 2024 with additional visitation from 10 a.m., until time of service. Interment will be in Westwood Cemetery Woodville, OH. Officiating will be, Pastor Terry Hunt. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials take the form of contribution to: A humane society or food pantry of the donor’s choice.
