Thelma Helen Jutras, 100, of Cheshire, passed away peacefully on May 12, 2024, Mother’s Day. Born in Plattsburgh, New York on September 20, 1923, the daughter of the late Earl R. and Bertha (Edgley) Cook. Thelma was educated in local schools and graduated from Plattsburgh High School. She went on to attend business school. Thelma moved to East Hartford in 1948 shortly after the birth of her son. She had a long and successful career at Aetna as the Supervisor for Printing Operations. Thelma is survived by her son, Wayne Jutras and his wife Jayna of Windsor Locks, her daughter, Victoria Kniering and her husband John of Cheshire, her grandchildren, Jason Jutras and his wife Tina of Windsor, Somer Adams and her husband Mark of East Windsor, Ashley Colletti of Vernon, Anthony “AJ” Colletti, Jr. of Rhode Island, Chelsea St. Pierre and her husband Mike of Rhode Island, Andy Kniering and his wife Meggie of Henniker, NH, Allisa Kniering and her wife Sandy of New Britian. Thelma was predeceased by her husband, Ulric "Pete" Clix Jutras, her daughter, Susan Jean Kimble and her brother, Earl R. Cook. Thelma was also predeceased by her longtime companion Bob Lincoln, Bob and Thelma loved to travel together, visit their camp in at Newell Pond in Alstead, NH and various places across the United States and Canada.
