James Harris Obituary

James Harris, 74, beloved husband, father, and grandfather, was called Home on May 14, 2024, at his home in Plymouth, MA surrounded by his loved ones. James was born in Brockton, MA, graduated from Whitman High School in 1968 and went on to serve his country doing two tours in the Vietnam War. He loved his family endlessly, exuded a passion for life, and loved his Lord and Savior with every fiber of his being. To know Jim Harris was to love him. His heart was made of gold, and he wore his heart on his sleeve. He welcomed everyone with open arms; he was wise, compassionate, kind, and loving. Jim was a man who wore many hats, both literally and figuratively: husband, father, papa, brother, son, friend, teacher, soldier, drummer, author, pilot, pastor, and the list goes on. He exemplified how to love deeply, live joyfully, and to give thanks to God for the gift of life. Jim, and his infectious laugh, will be missed immeasurably.

James is survived by his wife Kelli of 8 and half years, his sister Judith Sullivan, Daughter Jessica Sherman, Son-in-Law Mark Sherman and grandchildren Aubrey, Evan, and Noah, Daughter Rebecca Hudson, and grandchildren Abram, Ellsie, Brandon, and Wes, Son Joseph Harris and Daughter-in-Law Jill Harris, and grandchildren Nicholas and Adam, Daughter Chrissy Kuzia and Son-in-Law Scott Kuzia and grandchildren, Connor, Jared, and Owen, Son Jordan Harris and Daughter-in-Law Kim Harris and grandchild Emma, Daughter Bethany Paluzzi and Son-in-Law Tony Paluzzi and grandchildren Ronan and Vienna, Son Timothy Harris and Daughter-in-Law Samantha Harris and grandchildren Devin and Lucas, Mother to the children, Mary Harris, Frank Sorenti step-son and Barbara Sorenti step-daughter.

The wake will be held at Bartlett Funeral Home on May 20, 2024, from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm for all who want to attend. The funeral services on May 21, 2024, will be private for the family.
