Nancy Lee Brittle Obituary

Nancy Lee Brittle of Dale City, VA passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family on

Saturday May 11, 2024. Nancy is preceded in death by her mother, Helen Slater, her sisters

Barbara, Peggy and Pat.

Nancy is survived by her loving husband of nearly 52 years, George Brittle, her two daughters,

Jennifer Spory and her husband Jeff, Stacy Brittle and her significant other Leon Wilson, her

three grandsons Christopher, Chase and Bodie, her grand dogs, Odie, Izzy and Kelso, as well

as several nieces and nephews. Nancy also leaves behind her best friend Betty Hawkins and

her family.

Born in Washington D.C. in 1951, Nancy spent her childhood in Arlington, VA and attended

Woodrow Wilson High School. Nancy worked for AT&T for many years before becoming a full-

time childcare provider, a job she loved and did for nearly 30 years.

As many know, Nancy was an avid Redskins fan and loved watching games with her grandson,

Chris. She also enjoyed gardening and took great pride in how her yard looked. She loved to

read, especially James Patterson books and loved doing puzzles. She loved celebrating

holidays, especially The 4th of July, enjoying some blue crabs and Miller Lite. She loved to

decorate their house inside and out at Christmas time! Anyone that knew Nancy made a friend

for life. She will be greatly missed by so many!

Immediate services will be private; however, a Celebration of Nancy’s Life will be held later this

summer.
