Coleman Dewitt Yawn, age 37 of Hazlehurst went to his heavenly home on May 14, 2024.

Cole was born in Alma, GA to Mr. Arthur Dewitt Yawn and Janet Lynn “Hutto” Yawn. He was employed by Knollwood Tire and Wheel. Cole was a graduate of Jeff Davis High School. He had a love for automobiles and was extremely talented when it came to auto modification. He enjoyed the outdoors, hunting and most of all loved his family. He was a friend to many and a member of Oakland Baptist Church. He is preceded in death by his mother Mrs. Janet Hutto Yawn.

He is survived by his wife, Diane Foster Yawn, son, Abram Dewitt Yawn, father, Arthur (Cindy) Yawn, paternal grandfather, Jack Hutto of Alma, sisters, Abbie Yawn Mullis (Stephen) of Hazlehurst, Reagan Yawn Wilkerson (Connor) of Hazlehurst. Several nieces, nephews, and family members also survive.

Services for Mr. Yawn will be held Sunday May 19, 2024, at Oakland Baptist Church beginning at 2:00 PM. Internment will follow at the church cemetery. Rev. Royce Hulett and Rev. Dustin Hutto will officiate. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. 

Eric Crumpton, Jonathan Yawn, Allen Crawford, Jeff Speight, Cason Swinson, Matt Kirkland, Chris Baxley and Jason Baxley will serve as pallbearers.

The family will gather at the home of Arthur and Cindy Yawn located at 206 Comer Yawn Road, Hazlehurst.

Wainright Parlor Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
