Richard Ira Hardy Obituary

Richard Ira Hardy, 82, of Tarpon Springs, formally of Londonderry NH, passed away on February 14, 2024. He was born in Goffstown, New Hampshire to his parents, Edwin Ira, and Awilda (Hadden) Hardy. Richard moved to Tarpon Springs with his wife, Blanche, in 2014. He was preceded in death by his stepson, Richard McNeil and two sisters, Dorothy Noyes, and Marion Marston. He is survived by his wife, Blanche Hardy; one stepson, John McNeil Sr.; two stepdaughters, Laurie Hartley, and Cheryl McNeil; two sisters, Beverly Hardy and Shirley Hardy.


Richard is a Retired U.S. Army Veteran who served his country and received an Honorable Discharge for serving in the Vietnam War.


Richard enjoyed his favorite car, his 1972 Chevelle SS, camping in the mountains of New Hampshire, car racing, he traveled with his wife several racetracks from, Oswego NY, to the Daytona 500. He enjoyed his sports and reading his newspaper.


He is survived by his wife, Blanche Hardy; one stepson, John McNeil; two stepdaughters, Laurie Hartley, and Cheryl McNeil; two sisters, Beverly Hardy and Shirley Hardy, His Nephew Jonathan Marston, and Niece Debbie Marston.


Family and friends will sadly miss Richard. A grave side service will be held at Westlawn Cemetery, Goffstown, NH 125-83 N. Mast Road, Goffstown, NH on August 2, 2024, at 11:00 AM.
