John J. Mancini Obituary

Beloved husband, father and papa, John J. Mancini passed away peacefully into the loving arms of his Savior on Saturday, May 11th, 2024 with family by his side. He was a loving father, faithful husband, devoted papa, cherished brother and dear friend. His bright smile and warm personality touched the lives of all who knew him.

Born April 29, 1948, John grew up in Canton, Ohio in a caring family that served Christ. He was the son of John and Julia Mancini. He attended Glenwood High School and earned a B.A. in Business Administration from Kent State University.

Professionally, he was a master at his craft, with a love for helping people within sales in a career that lasted 45 years. He worked for notable companies such as Herff Jones, John Henry Company, Reb Plastics, and selling Manhattan Toys.

More importantly, John was a caring brother of three siblings: Dave Mancini (Linda), Ruthanne Wilkof (Ron), and Diane Bogniard (John).  John often commented in gratitude for his parents and siblings. Their family chats about life around the family dining table were engaging and deepened their relationship. Their family memories and time together will be cherished.

John was a beloved husband to his wife of 52 years, Cynthia Mancini. They navigated life's challenges, raising two daughters, and owning a business. They also enjoyed their golden years as they laughed, upheld each other, and put God first within their marriage.

John was an incredible Christian father to his daughters, Misty Seybert (John) and Christianne Northington (Jason). He loved them unconditionally and took pride in all they accomplished. He was their constant support, giver of wisdom, an encourager, and their best prayer warrior. He was foundational in leading their family to Christ and for this they are eternally grateful. He often would remind them that their life for Christ was far more impactful than they’d ever know. Best dad ever!

As Papa to three grandkids, Amelia Seybert, Claire Seybert, and Aaron Northington, John was fun, silly, full of compassion, fully vested in all they did, and so proud of the amazing people they were becoming. He taught them about Christ every chance he could get as he knew how vital having a relationship with Jesus would be as they learn to navigate in today’s world. They were and always will be the apple of his eye.

John was also a well-loved family man, as evidenced by his adoring nieces who often spent time with him and doted on him, even at his bedside in his last days. He loved them dearly. John had a couple more nieces that often called to say hello and laugh with Uncle John. He loved hearing their voices and catching up with them. And he adored his nephews to which he was always interested in all that they did. As cousin, in-law or uncle, John loved being with his family, extended and immediate. He was grateful for their friendship and care.

John had a passion for life and making his Savior known to others. He never passed up an opportunity to tell someone of God’s great love and saving grace. He could brighten any room with his smile and infectious laugh. He was a man of integrity, had a heart of gold, and carried a deep love for His Savior, family and friends. John will be missed by all those whose lives he touched. His legacy of unwavering faith in Jesus will continue to impact others for generations.
