Gary L. Chapman, 69, of Schenectady, NY, formerly of Johnson City, NY, passed away unexpectedly on May 6, 2024. He was predeceased by his parents, Wayne and Patricia Chapman, and his brother, Ralph L. Chapman, and brother in-law, Charles (Chuck) Gillmer. Gary is survived by his partner, Connie Powers, and his daughters, Brandy (Jay) Joseph, Brenda Chapman (Andrew Reed), Bonnie Chapman, and Christine (Adam) Neer. Gary also leaves behind his brothers, Wayne L. Chapman Jr. and Russell L. (Bridgette) Chapman, and his sisters, Cheryl Gillmer and Patty (Mike) Washburn, along with his 12 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, and many nieces,nephews, and cousins. Gary was known for his love of racing and working on cars, as well as being an avid hunter and fisherman. Gary was cremated at Meyers Funeral Home in Schenectady, NY. Per Gary's wishes there will be no funeral service. A celebration of life will be held on May 31, 2024, at My Uncle’s Place, 120 E. Service Rd., Binghamton, NY 13901
