We had a wonderful mother,

One who never really grew old;

Her smile was made of sunshine

Wide and bright,

She was so strong, never known to give up a fight.

With a personality so bold

And her heart was solid gold;

We had a wonderful mother,

Her eyes were as bright as shining stars,

Like the moon glistening on the open sea

And that’s the way it will always be.

As we sprinkle her into the ocean and set her free,

We had a wonderful mother.
