Nettie Marvilene Baker, 88, of Grapevine, went to be with the Lord, Tuesday, May 14, 2024. She was born January 20, 1936 in London, Arkansas to Roy Jones and Mary Estella Sims Jones.

Marvilene enjoyed reading, handcrafting, gardening and flowers. She was considered to be a caregiver. Marvilene had worked as a secretary and handled booking for Adult Education and GED testing. She was a former member of Broadmoor Missionary Baptist Church, and is now a member of Olive Branch Baptist Church. Marvilene truly enjoyed church and reading her Bible.

Survivors include her son, Floyd Ray Baker II; eight grandchildren; and nine great grandchildren.

Preceding her in death were her parents; husband, Floyd Ray Baker; brothers, Riley Thomas Jones, Kenneth Ray Jones and Winifred E. Jones; and sister, Mabel Doan.

Funeral service will be 2:00 PM, Sunday, May 19, 2024 at Fuller Hale-South Funeral Service. Bro. Mike Powell will officiate. Burial will follow in Grapevine Cemetery. Visitation will be 1:00 PM Sunday until funeral time.
