Perry L. Newcomer Obituary

Perry L. Newcomer, age 69, of Spring Grove, passed away peacefully on May 11, 2024 at home. He was the loving husband of Pamela S. (Myers) Newcomer; together they shared 42 years of marriage.


Perry was born in Hanover, PA on September 20, 1954 and was the son of Paul and Beulah (Jacobs) Newcomer.


Perry was a highly skilled carpenter and worked to restore the beauty and preserve the history of many local churches, barns and other historic buildings. He had a deep love and appreciation for nature, particularly trees, and found great joy in tending to his organic orchard and garden.


In addition to his loving wife Pamela, Perry is survived by his daughter Alison Newcomer; his grandson Liam Maron; his siblings Gladys Henschke, Gloria Gredler, and Paul “Clair” Newcomer; and numerous nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his grand-dog Winsor.


Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Graveside Service in celebration of Perry’s life on Monday, May 20, 2024 at 2:30PM at Jefferson Cemetery, Jefferson Rd., Spring Grove, PA 17362 with Pastor Jason Field officiating.


A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. The Newcomer Family will share information once finalized.


Funeral services are under the direction of Beck Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Inc., of Spring Grove.
