Barbara J. Rasche, 81, of Mount Washington passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Tuesday, May 14, 2024.


She was born in Louisville on October 4, 1942 to the late Charles Breckheimer and Mildred Herp Breckheimer.


She was a member of St. Bernard Catholic Church, and worked as a sales associate for the old Bacon’s Department Store.

Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her brothers, Robert Breckheimer, Freddy Breckheimer; sister-in-law, Joan Breckheimer; and infant son, Todd Allen Rasche.


She is survived by her loving husband of 60 years, Richard D. Rasche; children, Doug Rasche (Laura), Kim Burba (Glenn), Karen Jutz (John), Kelly Rasche; grandchildren, Todd Burba (Ashlee), Sean Burba (Emily), Zach King, Madison Jutz, Shelby Sherrill, Seth Jutz, Aidan Rasche; great granddaughter, Lydia Burba; great grandson Burba on the way; numerous nieces and nephews, other loving family members and friends.


Her funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, May 21, 2024 at St. Bernard Catholic Church 7500 Tangelo Drive. Visitation will be from 2 p.m. – 8 p.m. on Monday, May 20, 2024 at Ratterman & Sons Funeral Home 3800 Bardstown Road.
