Claude Tiffin - Chatham Celebration Centre Obituary

passed away peacefully on Sunday, May 12, 2024, in his 90th year with his family by his side. He will be fondly remembered by his loving wife of over 71 years, Jean (nee Wilson) Tiffin, sisters Lorraine Young and Linda (Ed) Caldwell, daughter Debbie (Kevin) Barnier, sons, late Sam Tiffin, Dan (late Annette) Tiffin and all his many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends. Claude grew up in Chatham and worked at Rockwell Steel (previously Ontario Steel) as a tool and die maker, he had a small hobby farm where he raised horses which were his passion in life. When he retired, he went on to make beautiful hand-made furniture and volunteered to make toys for children at The Goodfellows. Later, he took up writing and wrote humorous stories for newspapers like Daytripping, a few magazines and self-published 5 fiction novels. As per his wishes, cremation has taken place.
