Donna J D'Alessandro Obituary

Donna J. D'Alessandro, age 60 of Whitehouse Station, passed away peacefully in her home on Monday, May 13th surrounded by loved ones. A beloved wife, daughter, sister, devoted professional, and cherished friend, Donna touched the lives of many with her gentle soul, unwavering kindness, and boundless spirit of adventure. She lived her life with grace and humility and leaves behind a legacy of love and kindness.

Born in Denville, NJ, she was the daughter of the late Gerald and Sally D'Alessandro.

For 26 years, she dedicated herself to her career at Johnson & Johnson, where she worked as an Associate Director in Quality Assurance, Regulatory Compliance, and Regulatory Affairs. Her commitment to excellence and attention to detail left a lasting impact on the company and earned her the respect of those she worked with.

An avid runner and lover of the great outdoors, Donna found comfort and inspiration in the vast mountains of Colorado and the serene desert trails of Arizona. She enjoyed golfing and was a fierce competitor in all aspects of her life, never backing down from a challenge and always striving to be her best. For several years she donated her time coaching with the Girls on the Run Organization, mentoring and inspiring numerous young girls through the sport that she loved.  One of her greatest joys was traveling with her wife, Kathy. Together they embarked on countless adventures both here in the U.S and abroad. She was a devoted Yankee fan, cheering passionately for her team. Her love for the game of baseball, mirrored her zest for life. Whether celebrating victories or enduring defeats, she remained a loyal unwavering fan.

Donna’s favorite holiday was Christmas and she made it a time of joy, laughter, and togetherness. She found immense pleasure in baking Christmas cookies and sharing them with friends, loved ones, and her dedicated medical teams over the years. Her generous spirit and loving nature brought warmth and light to those around her, making the holiday season feel truly magical.

Above all, Donna cherished her role as a loving wife of nearly 10 years. Together for 21, they shared a bond built on love, laughter and unwavering support, weathering life’s challenges with strength and resilience.

She is survived by her wife, Kathryn Scheffels, her sister, Cindy Hoel of AZ, and her two brothers Jerry D’Alessandro and his wife, Cheryl of CO, and Gary D’Alessandro and his husband, Peter Scott of Whitehouse Station, and their daughter, Maggie D’Alessandro.
